There has always been a search for an institution where global academic standards are maintained while balancing the core essence of education, i.e., gaining knowledge which caters to the needs of the smart world. India has always been widely recognized for its rich cultural diversity. But India also stretched itself to rapidly emerge as a hub for transnational education, attracting leading universities from around the world to expand their higher education ecosystem.

As a part of the International Boot Camps being conducted by the Regional College of Management, Bangalore, the German Boot Camp, which was held on the 18th and 19thof February, 2026, definitely set its standards high by pouring in an intense 2-day program allowing students to delve into the very concept of ESG Leadership & Strategic Narratives.

Sustainability always meant meeting our current needs without ruining the ability of future generations to meet theirs. But what about the government? Should it not take into account the profitability? Or should it not care about the planet or the people? The Government definitely needs to take into consideration all these aspects. But how? Is it that simple? Will it not pinch our pockets? Is it even possible to simultaneously achieve sustainability with profitability? A big pool of questions, isn’t it?

Here’s the answer—

Currently serving as an Adjunct Professor at the International School of Management, Berlin and Berlin School of Businesses and Innovation, Berlin, Dr. Anastasia Kiritsi is an international authority on sustainable management. She possesses a rare multidisciplinary background in Energy Law, Sustainable Shipping, and Inclusive Governance. Dr. Kiritsi is a Fellow of the UNESCO Inclusive Policy Lab. Her expertise lies in helping organizations and future leaders navigate the complexities of European ESG regulations. She has a proven track record of delivering high-impact leadership training across Europe and Asia, focusing on AI-driven sustainability and ethical corporate narratives.

Who else can perfectly clear our cluttered minds? A perfect blend of academia and expertise, Dr. Anastasia proved it all!

Let us dive deep into what helped us understand this topic—

Beginning with the first day, we learnt about the European sustainability standards and strategic management. As global markets pivot towards transparent, value-driven governance, it is of utmost importance to learn about the ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) models to remain competitive. Along with the ‘German Model of Sustainability’ which was beyond textbook definitions, we also learnt about how German corporations craft and implement strategic narratives. Moving further, we talked about ethical relativism and its relevance along with business ethics. Application of Corporate Social Responsibility in the ‘German Sustainability Model’ and global markets, ESG metrics, identifying the environmental and social risks within complex international supply chains and gaining soft skills for cross-cultural leadership was taught in the initial phase of the first day. The day ended with students forming 10 groups of 7-8 students in each group where every group was assigned a specific German company and was asked to analyse their ESG strategy and narrative.

The second day was highlighted by a series of presentations. Each group presented the CSR policies of numerous companies, its strategic framework and worldwide recognition and acceptance. Finally, Dr. Anastasia addressed us and shared her invaluable insights. The programme concluded with feedback from the students and the certificate distribution ceremony.

Learning has become much more intense and invasive which requires coordination between theory and practicality forming an integral part of modern education. The conventional way of learning alone will not help to enjoy the essence of what the world has to offer. Keeping pace with the modern system of education requires transformation from within. And the Regional College of Management, Bangalore puts all its efforts to provide the best management education to its students through collaboration with universities from across the globe to fulfil their needs.
